The newest tradition in the Lye home:
Taking a weekly trip to Barnes and Noble
The only day that me and Collin have off together are Wednesdays. So that day is reserved for us! We do what we want, something we don't usually have the time for every other day. And believe it or not, finding time to go to Barnes and Noble is something that doesn't happen often.
There was something so relaxing about being there. Me being able to drool over fashion and wedding magazines (Yes, I still daydream about wedding planning) and Collin browsing through the travel section planning our "dream vacation".
But its more then just the magazines. They have a whole section of paper back, classic books that are just beautiful! Even to just look at let alone own and read. Little Woman, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Height, The portrait of Dorian Gray... All gorgeous books. (Collin bought two from this section)
We browsed around for hours intrigued with everything. From books that have been on my purchase list...
To ones we thought were pretty darn funny...
To some heart melting goodness...
And adorable journals I want to get.
The kids section was my favorite. So adorable and full of great books for babies and kids to learn and grow from. I love the thought of going every week and making it family time. Having Jude grow up around books and being interested in reading is something we are definitely passionate about. I love the thought of having him be surrounded by an environment where he can learn and gain so much knowledge.
Clearly it was a good day, a great day actually! I cant wait for our next visit!
