bridesmaid attire

i finally decided on a bridesmaid dress for jasmine's wedding! (thank you to all of those who helped with my indesisivness!) these killer heels were the deciding factor for what dress to get- AMAZING, right?? now i'm left impatiently waiting for a pretty little package to be sitting at my door with the goods. what do you think? you like?  

2012 met gala round up

met gala- the 'go big or go home' red carpet event of the year & definitely one of my favorites. at this event, you can always count on the designers creating some of their most elaborate works of art- some breathtaking & some just plain out there. here was my 2012 met gala red carpet round up.

nina dobrev in donna karan- best dressed of the night award

do you remember this dress? nina & donna need to work exclusively together if this is going to be the end result.

diane kruger in prada- can do no wrong award

diane kruger is one of my absolute favorite fashionistas & a big part of that is because no matter what she wears, she presents & delivers it effortlessly. 

kate bosworth in prada- short but dramatic award

kate proves that in a house full of long, gorgeous gowns- a mini dress can be just as eye catching & jaw dropping when worn & styled right. and she did. 

karolina kurkova in rachel zoe- fit for a super model award

this gown could only be worn by someone like karolina, a supermodel. she displays it the way its meant to be- a work of art. 

emily blunt in calvin klein- simple yet sexy award

i absolutely love this look on emily! probably one of my favorite looks from her, ever. the pale pink color of this dress brings the feminine feel while the perfectly placed cut outs bring the sexy. perfection.

jessica alba in michael kors- best dress for her skin tone award

jessica looks sensational in this bronze gown! her skin color, hair & makeup pull it all together to make it a complete home run. 

solange knowles in rachel roy- best pop-of-color award

daaammnn! solange looks fierce! and even though both sisters clearly know how to work it (beyonce at the met gala) i have to give it to solange. she is making a statement & owning it. 

victoria justice in alexander mcqueen- knows how to dress their age award

kuddos to victoria for wearing something so fun & lively! she never fails in the beauty department but with that dress & those shoes, she gets two thumbs up for her entire look.

gwyneth paltrow in prada- most disappointing award
gwyneth is always beautiful but i was really hoping for her to bring a show stopping look to this event. i was wanting another oscar look i guess.
  

kristen stewart in balenciaga- seriously? those shoes? award
i personally think this whole look is a disaster but the shoes are by far the worst part.


alexa chung in marc jacobs- wtf award
if you remove the mens white button up shirt from this look, it would be pretty dang sexy. but you cant, trust me i've tried. its still there- still making this look my worst dressed of the night.

bridesmaid dresses

one of my best friends, jasmine, has just asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! now i haven't been one since my sister got married (all the way back in 2005!) so i'm pretty ecstatic about it, not to mention honored. 

so ladies i need your help! she sent me paint samples, letting me know her color scheme & now its up to me to pick the dress. best idea by the way- 1. you don't have to wear a dress you don't like 2. a line of bridesmaid's in different dresses & colors looks absolutely beautiful. she used michelle's wedding as an example:

beautiful, right? so i've done some looking around & have come up with quite a few dresses from forever 21 that i love- now i just need help narrowing them down! what do you think? any suggestions? please, feel free to comment!
